Join the growing number of snowmobilers who are discovering the St. John Valley area. The St. John River Valley, or "The Valley" as it is sometimes referred to by the inhabitants of northern Aroostook county, is the place to be each and every winter. The Valley is situated in the northern most part of Maine and is blanketed with crisp, white snow from early December through late March. Some years the snowfall extends the snowmobile sea- son into mid-April. International border crossings allow access to the trails in New Brunswick and Quebec. The St. John Valley's trails help make up the 1,600 miles of the well-groomed International Trails Systems of Aroostook County linking Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New Brunswick, and Quebec. These trails were rated number one in New England and third-highest trail riding in North America. All of your snowmobile needs, food, lodging, gas, service, and parts are easily accessible from the trails. The Valley offers many motels, bed and breakfasts, inns, lodges, and cabins to satisfy any taste in accommodations. Our many restaurants provide fast-food, good old- fashioned home cooking or fine dining that will satisfy all appetites after your full day in the fresh winter air. |
